![]() It is with great sadness we write this. Aaron John Steibel was delivered on 4/10/19, 4lbs, 13ozs & 19 inches long. He had his daddy’s long fingers and toes, his mommy’s dark curly hair and the most precious little face and button nose. He wasn’t alive to take his first breath. The morning prior, at 36 weeks, AJ had dropped and had not made his usual morning movements. The nurse directed us to the hospital right away and there we discovered he was no longer with us. Upon delivery, the doctor was able to see what happened. He’d had a cord accident. It was pinched somewhere around his foot or ankle, causing a hemorrhage and cutting off his blood supply. Other than this, he was a perfectly healthy little boy. Beautiful and precious in every way. We were blessed to have an amazingly supportive staff at Sparrow and have felt all the love and prayers for our healing. This has been the toughest situation we have ever faced and are strong with the loving support of our family and friends. Above all, we have grown closer than we ever knew possible and for that, we are grateful. AJ will forever be in our hearts and the love of our life. With Love, Amanda and Michael
